"I don't know if I even have an aura, man.  I just try to win."
- Tiger Woods
That's me in the picture at left,
watching my final putt on the best
competitive round of my life:  a
73 shot during my junior year in
high school.

I've done a little better at times
playing a casual round of golf, but
I don't consider such a scenario
an accurate measure of my
ability to play
competitive golf.
I've certainly never played in front

people watching, in a competition

speaking, you've got to
just do it to
overcome (or at least minimize)
any fear which may accompany
such an event.

In terms of my scoring ability in
competition, my game hasn't

gotten any better than that.  And these days, it's harder than
ever for me to find the time to play -- and enjoy -- a pure,
un-interrupted round of golf.  But I still love the game, and my
wife can attest to the fact that I'm often glued to the TV during
a major tournament on the
PGA Tour.
