"Management is prediction."
- W. Edwards Deming, statistician & educator (1900-1993)
I received a Master of Science degree in Applied
Statistics from
Purdue University in 1991.  I've never
looked at the world the same way since.

Most of my early work in statistical analysis involved
Six
Sigma projects while working as an engineer in manufac-
turing environments.  During the mid- to late-1990s, I com-
pleted several independent consulting engagements doing
clinical trials data analysis for a few major pharmaceutical
companies and some firms who serve them.

My most recent work in statistical analysis was a consulting
project for the executive team of a Fortune 500 financial
services client in fall 2005.  While serving as
VP of a
business intelligence consulting firm, I performed some
statistical modeling using select historical data [provided
by the client] and
SAS Enterprise Miner.  Our findings
drove the client's decision to cancel a proposed business
model change which would have likely triggered millions in
lost revenue.
