| I stand about 6 foot 4 inches. Being tall does have its advantages. I can see (and be seen) easily in a crowd. I could easily slam dunk a basketball during my college years. The leverage I get from my tall frame enables me to hit a golf ball more than 300 yards when I bring my "A" game. People tend to associate leadership abilities with tall people, so I've got that working for me. Height has been an inconvenience at times, though. I can still clearly recall the 18+ hours of misery I experienced while riding in the front seat of a Volkswagen Beetle during the return trip to Indiana from spring break vacation in southern Florida. Most seats in airplanes are no picnic. I can't remember the last time I found a pair of production- made slacks that came even close to fitting me. |
